Die Grenzen zwischen den Naturwissenschaften und der Philologie waren historisch weitaus enger miteinander verflochten, als die moderne Trennung der Disziplinen vermuten l\u00e4sst. Das ist die zentrale These, die die Wissenschaftshistorikerin Lorraine Daston (Berlin) und der Philologe Glenn W. Most (Pisa) vor zehn Jahren in ihrer wegweisenden konzeptuellen Studie “History of Science and History of Philologies” formuliert haben. Die Studie identifiziert gemeinsame Praktiken in den Natur- und Geisteswissenschaften, und fordert eine st\u00e4rker global gerichtete, vergleichende Wissensgeschichte jenseits westlicher Traditionen.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Anl\u00e4sslich dieses Jubil\u00e4ums werden Daston und Most in einer Podiumsdiskussion \u00fcber die Bedeutung der Studie f\u00fcr aktuelle und zuk\u00fcnftige Forschung zur Verbindung von Naturwissenschaft und Philologie reflektieren. Moderiert wird die Diskussion von K\u00e4rin Nickelsen, Professorin f\u00fcr Wissenschaftsgeschichte an der LMU M\u00fcnchen.<\/p>\n<\/div>\n<\/div>\n\n\n\n
