International Research Prize of the Max Weber Foundation at the Historisches Kolleg

The "International Research Prize" is designed to

• honor excellent scientists and scholars who have rendered outstanding, exemplary services to internationally oriented, intellectual, social and cultural historical research;
• honor innovative research approaches that promote international, interdisciplinary networking between the humanities, social sciences, cultural studies and others; and
• sharpen the international profile of the nominating research institutions in Germany and thus strengthen the international competitiveness of Germany as a research location.

Scientists from the host countries and host regions of the Max Weber Foundation's institutes can be nominated and apply.
